MICRONEEDLING
At Fallen Leaf Medical® we combine the power of microneedling with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) to naturally boost collagen and elastin production. This minimally invasive treatment smooths wrinkles, fades scars, improves texture, and reveals glowing, youthful skin—all while harnessing your body’s natural healing abilities.
What is microneedling and how does it work?
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy, it is a minimally invasive treatment that uses tiny sterile micro-needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These controlled punctures stimulate your skin’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
Why use platelet-rich fibrin and what is it?
PRF or Platelet Rich Fibrin contains tiny cell fragments that are rich in growth factors that aid the wound healing process, as well as stimulate stem cells to produce collagen and elastin. PRF is obtained through a simple blood draw; the blood is then put into a centrifuge that spins the blood, thus separating the Platelet-Rich Fibrin from the rest of the blood cells. We use PRF because it is completely natural by utilizing the patient’s own blood/ growth factors. PRF is also used for hair restoration, knee repairs, wound management, and skin regrowth following severe burns.
